A normal phase HPLC column optimized for rapid, sensitive and reproducible separation of highly heterogeneous mixtures of 2-AB-labeled neutral and acididc glycans. Separation on the basis of hydrophilicity, determined largely by the size of the glycan and, to a lesser extent, by arm specificity and linkage. Subpicomole amounts of 2-AB-labeled glycans can be resolved to provide a detailed glycosylation fingerprint.
